Senator Bacon, joined by Senators Jim Hughes (R┬┐Columbus) and Charleta Tavares (D┬┐Columbus), presents a resolution to Ohio Dominican football team.

Senator Kevin Bacon (R–Minerva Park) today presented a resolution to the Ohio Dominican University’s (ODU) football team for their performance last fall. ODU finished the regular season with a perfect 9-0 record, capturing the GLIAC title. They ended with an overall record of 10-1. Prior to entering the playoffs last year, ODU had a 15 game winning streak, the longest in Division II football and was ranked as high as No. 7 in the nation.

"This is an amazing group of athletes," said Bacon. "They have all shown a lot of dedication and tenacity and I am very proud of them."

The Senate also honored the team's head coach, Bill Conley, on being named the GLIAC and AFCA Region Three Coach of the Year as well as becoming a finalist for the Liberty Mutual National Coach of the year.
