COLUMBUS - On Wednesday, the Senate joined State Senator Kevin Bacon (R-Minerva Park) to honor Ohio State University police officer who was responsible for stopping an attack that occurred on campus last November. 

"Officer Alan Horujko is a hero, he demonstrated incredible courage and bravery in the wake of terror," said Senator Bacon. "He helped to save many lives and prevent further injuries because of his quick and efficient response." 
After joining The Ohio State University Police Department in January 2015, on November 28, 2016, on-duty Officer Horujko acted swiftly to end the attack on Ohio State’s campus. He credits Ohio State’s first-rate active aggressor law enforcement training for his actions and remains thankful to all first responders that assisted The Ohio State University Police Department .
Horujko was born and raised in Cincinnati Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Security and Intelligence and went on to complete the law enforcement program at Delaware Area Career Center in 2013.
