COLUMBUS–Senator Kevin Bacon (R–Minerva Park) recently honored Chaplain Don Zapsic, U.S. Army, Retired, for his dedicated advocacy for Ohio’s veterans, and to establish an “Ohio Warrior Awareness Week.”
“Chaplian Don Zapsic has advocated tirelessly for Ohio’s service connected veterans,” said Bacon. “A deep thanks for bringing this to our attention so we can honor the service and sacrifice of Ohio’s warriors.”

The Ohio Senate recently passed Senate Concurrent Resolution 28, sponsored by Bacon, which would designate a week in May 2014 as “Ohio Warrior Awareness Week” to honor more than 100,000 Ohio veterans who have a service-connected disability.

COLUMBUS - State Senator Kevin Bacon (R-Westerville), sponsor of Senate Bill 226,  today announced Senate passage of legislation to make permanent Ohio's Sales Tax Holiday, which provides a three-day sales and use tax exemption for customers purchasing certain retail items during the first weekend in August.

“In many cases current law does not allow for prosecution of individuals who intentionally avoid and knowingly violate protection orders,” said Bacon.
