COLUMBUS— State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) today accompanied members of the Ohio Energy Mandates Study Committee for a tour of two West Virginia hydroelectric facilities.

Members of the Energy Mandates Study Committee, which Senator Balderson co-chairs with Representative Kristina Roegner (R-Hudson), visited the Belleville and Willow Island facilities in an effort to better understand fuel diversity and other alternative energy options.

The study committee is charged with the task of reviewing Ohio's alternative energy portfolio and reporting back to the General Assembly with recommendations by September 30, 2015.
