State Senator Troy Balderson (R- Zanesville) announced Monday that the State Controlling Board has released $700,000 from the Job Ready Sites (JRS) Grant fund to the Coshocton Port Authority. This money will be used for the creation of an Existing Industrial Job Ready Site. "I am proud to announce that this shovel-ready project is receiving the funds that it needs to get rolling," said Balderson. "With more than 200 jobs on the line, this project is exciting for Coshocton County and more than worth the state's investment." The Project, known as the former Steel Ceilings, is located on Third Street in the City of Coshocton. The Coshocton Port Authority and its project partner will environmentally assess, clean up, and improve the property infrastructure. As a result of the project, a minimum of 214 jobs will be retained on the Project Property. The funds released by the Controlling Board will total approximately 75% of the eligible project costs. The Coshocton Port Authority and its project partner have committed to funding the balance of the project.
Senator Balderson represents the 20th Senate District of Ohio, which is made up of Athens, Coshocton, Guernsey, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, and Washington Counties
