Senator Troy Balderson (R–Zanesville) announced today that the state will invest $500,000 for upgrades to a Muskingum County mental health facility.
The funds will be used for upgrades to eight existing buildings and the construction of six new units to provide permanent supportive housing and required mental health services at the Six County, Inc. facility in Zanesville.

“This investment will help improve the quality of care for Muskingum County residents with mental health issues,” said Balderson. "Our goal is to provide a safe living environment that allows residents to get the treatment they need."

Six County, Inc. is a non-profit agency partnered with the Muskingum-Area Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Heath Board (ADAMH). The Muskingum County ADAMH maintains a waiting list for individuals in need of permanent, safe, affordable housing.
