COLUMBUS - 

State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) today issued the following statement regarding local efforts to create jobs and ensure sustainable economic growth in Guernsey County:

"Despite the recent drop in oil and gas prices, last month Guernsey County's unemployment remained nearly half the rate it was just five years ago," said Balderson. "This sustainable recovery is the result of collaborative efforts between economic development leaders and local officials, including Jo Sexton, president of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr, Guernsey County commissioners and the Cambridge-Guernsey County Improvement Corporation."
