COLUMBUS - State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) issued the following statement Wednesday in response to Anthem’s decision to leave Ohio’s health insurance exchange:
"Premiums in Ohio have risen by more than 90 percent and are pushing providers out of the marketplace. I am hopeful that changes can be made to enhance free market competition, which will help lower health care costs for our region. This will play an important role in ensuring that more Ohioans have access to affordable options."

Consumers with questions may contact the Ohio Department of Insurance at 1-800-686-1526.
