Columbus -
State Senator Troy Balderson (R - Zanesville) has released the following statement in regards to the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio's (PUCO) recent announcement that it will reassess the recent rate increases incurred by small business: "I am pleased to hear that the Chairman Snitchler has directed the Public Utilities commission to reassess the AEP plan that has caused rate increases over the past month. I have heard from many small businesses in recent days regarding the increased burden that these increases have placed on them. Small businesses are vital to our economy and their role in job-creation is unmistakable. With our economy still struggling, we want to do everything we can to insulate our small businesses from increased costs." The PUCO hopes to have the revision of this case finalized by the end of February. Any constituents who are affected by this situation are encouraged to contact the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio by calling 1-800-686-7826 and share their concerns regarding Case No. 11346-EL-SSO - the AEP rate increase.
Senator Troy Balderson represents Ohio's 20th Senate District which covers Athens, Coshocton, Guernsey, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble and Washington Counties
