COLUMBUS - State Senator Troy Balderson (R-Zanesville) today issued the following statement on the news of John Glenn's passing:

Muskingum County lost its American hero today. New Concord native John Glenn has left Earth for his third and final time. His silent strength and resolve raised the country to new heights as he remained firmly grounded in the values he was raised with.

Proud of where he came from, John Glenn always demonstrated his devotion to his loved ones and his dedication to his country. We will dearly miss John and join Annie and the Glenn family in mourning the loss of one of our own.
