Columbus -
State Senator Bill Beagle (R - Tipp City) has announced that the state Development Financing Advisory Council (DFAC) recently approved two 166 Direct Loans, totaling almost $2.5 million, to a pair of Montgomery County businesses. Columbia Engineered Rubber, Inc. will receive over $1.5 million to assist in expanding its operations and workforce, while Techmetals, Inc. has been awarded $900,000 to help with its efforts to attract new customers. "This news shows a commitment to economic recovery in Montgomery County," Beagle said. "The only way to bring true economic growth to this region is by growing the jobs we already have and showing faith in our small businesses." Located in the City of Vandalia, Columbia Engineered Rubber, Inc. is currently comprised of 48 full-time employees and plans to add an additional 10 full-time workers as result of the DFAC recommendation. Techmetals, Inc., located in Dayton, provides metal coating, engraving, and allied services to manufacturers. Techmetals, Inc. is expected to add as many as 22 full-time jobs through the use of this loan. The funds are contingent upon final approval from the State Controlling Board.
