Senator Bill Beagle (R–Tipp City) today announced the introduction of Ohio’s 2014 Capital Budget, which will provide state investment dollars to support local community projects. This year’s Capital Budget included many different community projects for the Miami Valley.

“I am excited to see funds made available through wise economic policies and investment strategies be used for projects in our region that have been included in the state’s Capital Budget,” said Beagle. “These projects will continue to make the Miami Valley a great place to live and raise a family and I look forward to seeing these state funds make a difference in our community.”

Combined, these projects will bring over $10 million to the region. Local region projects include funding:

  • Darke County Workforce Center
  • The Cardinal Center

Miami County

  • Treasure Island River Corridor Enhancement Project
  • The Bradford Rail Museum

Montgomery County

  • Dayton Art Institute
  • Materials Manufacturing Growth and Competitive Edge for Ohio
  • Unmanned Autonomous Systems Verification Testing Center (UASV/VTC)
  • Tech Town Research Center
  • Dayton Contemporary Dance Studio
  • Dayton Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Center Tower
  • Miamisburg Riverfront Project
  • Victoria Theatre
  • Dayton Boys and Girls Club
  • Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory (GRILL)
  • Montgomery County Fairgrounds

Preble County

  • Preble County Amphitheater
  • A.S.K. Playground
  • The Preble County Fairgrounds
