Senator Burke joins ODNR Director Jim Zehringer to celebrate the completion of capital improvement projects at Mount Gilead State Park

State Senator Dave Burke (R-Marysville) this week joined Ohio Department of Natural Resources Director Jim Zehringer and local leaders to celebrate the completion of major upgrades at Mount Gilead State Park.

Park investments include a newly renovated shower house and restroom, playground improvements, a new park pavilion and upgrades to the existing dam. 

"I am very encouraged to see the improvements made at the park and I hope fellow Ohioans take an afternoon, or even a full weekend with their families to get out and enjoy the upgrades," said Senator Burke. 

Mount Gilead State Park received $900,000 for improvements as part of the $88 million in investments to state parks that was included in the state's previous capital budget bill, which was co-sponsored by Senator Burke.
