Prior to joining the Senate, Burke served as a member of the Ohio House of Representatives as well as vice-president of Marysville City Council. Earlier this year, then-Representative Burke sponsored legislation - now law- that gives state officials and local law enforcement agencies new tools to help better fight the growing problem of prescription drug abuse in Ohio. He also served as chairman of the Health and Human Services Subcommittee of the House Finance Committee. In addition to his legislative duties, Burke also owns and operates Dave's Pharmacy in Marysville. He and his wife Donna have two children, Alexandra and Adam.
