COLUMBUS — State Senator Dave Burke announced that two projects in Northwest Ohio have been awarded Job Creation Tax Credits in support of expansion projects at National Machinery and the Rexam Beverage Can Company that are expected to create 90 new jobs and more than $4 million in new annual payroll. The credits were approved at a recent meeting of the Ohio Tax Credit Authority, which approved assistance for 15 projects across the state, resulting in the creation of more than 1,300 jobs and the retention of 2,600 others.

“These projects will bring new jobs and help spur additional development in our communities,” Burke said. “I applaud National Machinery and the Rexam Beverage Can Company for choosing to expand their operations in Ohio and invest in the hard-working people of Ohio.”

National Machinery LLC and NM Group Global , which designs and manufactures cold-forming machines that produce metal parts for coiled wires, bars and slugs, expects to create 64 new jobs as a result of the company’s expansion project at its facility in Tiffin.  The Rexam Beverage Can Company manufactures beverage cans at a plant in Fremont. The company will create 26 new, full-time positions following its expansion project.

Both companies were awarded six-year Job Creation Tax Credits.
