COLUMBUS—On Tuesday, Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) released the standing committees for the 132nd Ohio General Assembly. After consolidating the standing committees on Civil Justice and Criminal Justice into the Judiciary Committee, Senate President Obhof named State Senator Matt Dolan (R-Chagrin Falls) as Vice Chair of the newly formed Senate Judiciary Committee for the 132nd Ohio General Assembly. 

In addition, Senator Dolan will be the only freshman Senator appointed to the Senate Finance committee. As part of the Finance committee, he will sit on the subcommittee for Higher Education. His other committees include Insurance and Financial Institutions committee, Transportation, Commerce and Labor committee and Energy and Natural Resources committee. 

"I am happy with my committee assignments and look forward to getting started on issues important to Ohio." said Dolan. "It is an honor to serve on these committees as they directly align with the issues I ran on, such as education, job creation, workforce development and preserving and promoting Lake Erie.”
