Senator Eklund presents the Kirtland High Hornets with a Senate Resolution today inside the Senate Chamber.

State Senator John Eklund (R - Munson Township) today presented a Senate Resolution to members of the Kirtland High School football team. The Hornets recently punctuated a perfect season by defeating Coldwater for the Division V State Championship. "These young men have proven to be extraordinary on both the gridiron and inside the classroom," Eklund said. "Their accomplishments and character are truly worthy of commendation." The Hornets finished the season with a record of 15 - 0. This is their first ever state championship in football.
Senator Eklund represents the 18th District which Geauga and Lake Counties and part of Cuyahoga County. He lives in Munson Township with his wife, Meg.
