COLUMBUS -

State Senator Jay Hottinger (R-Newark) completed the 2015 legislative session closing out the year with 186 consecutive roll call floor votes in the first half of the 131st General Assembly without missing a single vote.

This marks the twenty-second time in the 24 years of Hottinger’s career in public service when he has received a 100 percent attendance and voting record.

“Representing the people of the 31st Senate district is something I take great pride in doing,” said Hottinger. “It is an honor to be our community’s voice on important issues before the General Assembly. I’m proud to be recognized yet again for my perfect attendance, and I believe our community needs and deserves this type of dedication.”

In addition to his voting record, Hottinger serves on several important committees in the Senate. He is chair of the Insurance Committee and is the vice-chair of the State and Local Government Committee, as well as serving on the Health and Human Services, Transportation, Commerce and Labor, Energy and Natural Resources and the Financial Institutions committees.
