Columbus -
State Senator Kris Jordan (R- Powell) announced he has introduced Senate Bill 94, legislation to ban the creation of animal-human hybrids as well as any attempts at human cloning in the State of Ohio. "Human cloning and attempts at creating animal-human hybrids are immoral and unethical practices that devalue human life and have questionable, if any, scientific merit," Jordan said. "These practices are a direct affront to the sanctity of human life in this state, and have no place in our society." Jordan continued, "I'm honored by and appreciative of the support of both the Ohio Christian Alliance and Ohio Right to Life for this important legislation. It is humbling to be working with these two great organizations that strive to defend the traditional family values that most Ohioans hold dear."
Jordan represents Ohio's 19th Senate District, which includes Delaware, Knox, Morrow, Richland, and part of Ashland counties. Prior to serving in the Senate, he served as a State Representative and as a Delaware County Commissioner. He is a proven advocate for spending restraint, lower taxes, and family values. He lives in Powell with his wife, Melissa.
