COLUMBUS- State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Copley) today announced that Ball Metal Food Container, LLC will create 100 new full-time jobs in Stark and Summit Counties.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority recently approved a six-year tax credit to help finance the company's expansion project in both Canton and Green, which involves a significant building expansion and the purchase of new machinery and equipment. The project will generate $5 million in new annual payroll by the end of 2018.

"The effort to reduce the tax and regulatory burden for Ohio's job creators is paying dividends," said LaRose. "The creation of new manufacturing jobs in Northeast Ohio reflects confidence in the region as a prime location to do business."

Ball produces steel food containers and ends for packaging fruits, vegetables, meats, pet food and other products.
