COLUMBUS—State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Hudson) today issued the following statement applauding President Trump's executive order to establish a commission to review the issue of voter fraud in the American election system:

I applaud President Trump for his leadership establishing a commission on election integrity. While serving in the legislature, I have worked to combat voter fraud while improving convenience and access for all of Ohio’s voters.

In Ohio, we take election fraud seriously. Though rare, even one instance of fraud is too many. This is why I have authored several bills that crack down on voter fraud and that help to ensure the accuracy of Ohio voter rolls. Ohio’s citizens must have confidence in the integrity of their elections.

I look forward to reviewing the recommendations of the Presidential Commission on Election Integrity, and I will continue to work tirelessly to ensure Ohio’s elections are accurate and fair. I am committed to assuring that those who undermine our election process receive justice and that all eligible Ohioans have access to this essential right.
