STATEHOUSE - 

State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Copley) today joined his colleagues in welcoming The Ohio State University football team to the Senate Chamber for winning the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship. The team finished the regular season with an 11-1 record and went on to beat Wisconsin, Alabama, and Oregon in the postseason to win their 8th National Title. The team includes eleven players from Stark, Summit, and Wayne counties.
 
“The players on this team demonstrated the Ohio spirit perfectly with how they handled every obstacle thrown at them and went on to win the National Championship,” said LaRose. “I’m very proud to have had them here today in the Senate and am especially proud of the eleven players on the team from the counties I represent.”
