Columbus, Ohio -

Columbus–State Senator Peggy Lehner (R–Kettering) was honored Tuesday by the American Conservative Union (ACU) as an ACU Conservative, the second highest award given by the organization. Senator Lehner received the award during a ceremony this morning in the Ladies Gallery of the Ohio Statehouse.

“Creating a more accountable and efficient government has topped my priority list since beginning my work in the Statehouse,” said Lehner. “This session, we’ve balanced the budget, decreased taxes, and created an opportunity-ready economy that has already decreased our unemployment rating by 2% in less than two years. I’m proud that the ACU has recognized our efforts in Ohio.”

The ACU Conservative Award recognizes Senator Lehner’s conservative voting record during the 2012 session of the 129th General Assembly.

The American Conservative Union is based out of Alexandria, Virginia.
