Senator Manning and others mark the expansion of the Avon-based Custom Culinary, Inc.
Columbus -
State Senator Gayle Manning (R - North Ridgeville) joined several state and local leaders on Monday for a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the expansion of the Custom Culinary Manufacturing Plant in Avon. Seventeen new jobs and an overall investment of $5 million are expected as part of the company's plan to bolster its operations. A manufacturer of various sauces, bases, and gravies for food processing professionals around the world, Custom Culinary's latest effort was largely made possible by last year's passage of Senate Bill 73, which was sponsored by Senator Manning. The legislation provided Ohio food manufacturing companies with the ability to purchase beer, wine, and spirituous liquors for recipes at wholesale prices. "Senate Bill 73 was among the first of twenty total job-centric bills passed by the General Assembly since the start 2011," said Manning. "Providing our small businesses with the necessary tools to expand operations and create new opportunities for our residents is the foundation of future success across Ohio. Griffith Laboratories, a manufacturer of food ingredients used around the world, is the parent company of Custom Culinary, Inc.
Senator Gayle Manning represents the 13th Ohio Senate District, which encompasses Lorain and Huron counties and eastern portions of Seneca County. Her office can be reached by phone at (614) 644-7613 or by e-mailing Manning@ohiosenate.gov.
