COLUMBUS—State Senator Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) today presented a resolution to the Elyria High School softball team for winning the 2017 Division I state championship this summer.

"I am pleased to recognize such a talented group of young women," said Seantor Manning." As an educator I am thrilled to see when student athletes take their school work as seriously as they take their roles on the field, and this team has represented excellence in both areas."

The team clinched the school's third state softball title on June 3, 2017 at the Firestone Stadium in Akron, defeating the Lebanon Warriors 4-3.
