Senator Manning presents resolution to Norwalk High School Boys Basketball

State Senator Gayle Manning (R–North Ridgeville) today presented a resolution to the Norwalk High School Basketball team for winning the Division II state championship. The Norwalk High School Truckers beat Bishop Watterson 65-58 in the championship game to win their first ever basketball championship. In 2013, the Truckers ended the regular season undefeated only to lose early in the playoffs.
“It is so encouraging to see what these young men have accomplished. Last year when they lost in the playoffs they were so disheartened, but instead of giving up, they worked harder and got better for this season. They showed us all that persistence and hard-work pays off and I’m very excited to see what the future holds for the young men on this team,” said Manning.
