State Senator Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today applauded the decision by Major Metals Company to expand operations at its facility in Richland County, adding approximately 18 new full-time employees.

"We are grateful for Major Metals' decision to invest and expand its operations in Richland County," said Obhof.

Major Metals currently employs more than 50 workers at its facility located just outside of Bellville, near the State Route 97 interchange with I-71.

The Ohio Tax Credit Authority approved a request from the company today for assistance offsetting the costs to relocate a large mill from North Carolina to Ohio. The move will help ensure continued growth in Richland County.

Major Metals produces welded steel tubes for a variety of applications used in carports, conveyor systems, garage doors and furniture.
