Senator Obhof presents Bellville Mayor Darrell Banks with a resolution honoring the community's bicentennial at the Bellville Street Fair.

State Senator Larry Obhof (R-Medina) joined the Bellville community Saturday during the annual Bellville Street Fair for a special presentation to recognize the village's 200th anniversary.

Senator Obhof presented a resolution to Bellville Mayor Darrell Banks on behalf of the Ohio Senate to officially commemorate the occasion. 

"Today, we recognize the major contributions that the people of this community have made over the last 200 years," said Obhof. "As we celebrate and reflect on the rich history of this village, we also look ahead to a future filled with growth and prosperity."

Bellville is located about halfway between Columbus and Cleveland in the beautiful rolling hills of Richland County. The village of about 1,900 residents sits at the gateway to Mohican State Park and Ohio's largest Amish community.
