Senator Obhof presents Village of Plymouth Mayor Tim Redden with a resolution honoring the community's 200th anniversary.

State Senator Larry Obhof (R-Medina) joined the Village of Plymouth community Sunday for an event to celebrate its bicentennial. During the ceremony, Mayor Tim Redden accepted a resolution presented by Senator Obhof recognizing Plymouth's 200th anniversary on behalf of the Ohio Senate.

"Today, we recognize the major contributions that the people of this community have made over the last 200 years," said Obhof. "This community is a hub of innovation for Ohio and the entire country."

The Village of Plymouth was once home to Plymouth Locomotive Works, which designed and manufactured the first Plymouth automobiles and Silver King tractors.

Bicentennial events included a parade, concert, historical reenactments, and a special dedication ceremony featuring notable former Plymouth residents.
