COLUMBUS—Ohio Senate President Larry Obhof (R-Medina) today presented a resolution to Nick Miller of Wadsworth for winning the Emerging Elite 1-mile race at the 2017 New Balance National Indoor Track Meet in New York City this past March.

"I am happy to recognize Nick today in front of the Ohio Senate," said Obhof. "He has shown great discipline and hard work, and we congratulate him on this accomplishment."

The New Balance Nationals Indoor Meet is one of the nation's premier meets and brings together the best track and field competitors from around the country. Miller placed first in the 1-mile with a time of 4:16.85. He is currently a junior at Wadsworth High School.
