COLUMBUS– State Senator Larry Obhof (R–Medina) today announced a major transportation project to improve and modernize U.S. Route 30, from SR 309 to 5th Avenue in the City of Mansfield.  The $68 million project includes full-depth removal and replacement of the pavement throughout the entire project length, and the possible reconfiguration of the SR 39, SR 13, and SR 545 ramps along the corridor.
“This project will improve our infrastructure and help spur economic growth,” said Obhof. “It is great to see ODOT and the City of Mansfield working together to get major infrastructure improvements underway.”
Construction is likely to begin in 2016, five years earlier than originally expected.
