COLUMBUS— State Senator Bob Peterson (R-Washington Court House) welcomed Pastor Alvis Pollard of the First Baptist Church in Gallipolis to deliver the invocation before a session of the Ohio Senate today.

"I am honored to welcome Pastor Pollard to lead us in prayer and bless the members of the Ohio Senate before we conduct business on behalf of the people of this great state," said Peterson. 

Pastor Pollard has been with the First Baptist Church in Gallipolis for more than 40 years and currently serves as senior pastor.

Pastor Pollard and his wife Brenda have four adult children and several grandchildren. He is a graduate of Piedmont Bible College in North Carolina.
