Columbus –Minority Leader Joe Schiavoni (D-Boardman) released the following statement announcing the appointment of Mahoning County Engineer Pat Ginnetti to the Ohio Public Works Commission:

“As the Senate Minority Leader I am fortunate to have the opportunity to appoint a Mahoning Valley resident to the Ohio Public Works (OPWC) Commission.

“The Ohio Public Works Commission has tremendous influence in selecting and administering statewide infrastructure improvements. With the anticipated renewal this year of the State Capital Improvement Program, having an individual from Mahoning County on the commission will ensure that our part of the state will not be overlooked in the allocation of over $175 million of state funds annually for local infrastructure projects.

“Seeing firsthand how well Mr. Ginnetti has served our community, I know that he will make a great addition to the OPWC. I look forward to working with Mr. Ginnetti in Columbus.
