Boston Retail Products Inc. Awarded Job Creation Tax Credit
COLUMBUS— State Senator Jerry C. Cirino
(R-Kirtland) this week announced Boston Retail Products Inc., in Portage County, was awarded a job creation tax credit, advancing economic development in Northeast Ohio.
The company’s new project in Ravenna expects to create 45 new full-time positions, generating $2.25 million in new annual payroll and retaining $1.2 million in existing payroll.
“These credits have already helped a number of projects throughout the state. This announcement shows that we are still headed in the right direction, bringing new jobs and spurring additional development in our region,” Cirino said. “I applaud Boston Retail for choosing to invest in the hard-working people of Northeast Ohio.”
Boston Retail Products Inc. designs and manufactures custom metal and plastic retail displays, fixtures, and display protection items for retail stores, hospitals, and pharmacies.
The Tax Credit Authority approved a 1.232%, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project. The project was one of six projects announced this week, which in total are expected to create 1,281 new jobs and retain 747 jobs statewide.
